How We See Colour

Colour is a basic element of design in any form: be it painting a masterpiece on canvas, selecting beads for jewellery pieces, or even picking out your clothes for the day.  Colours can create a mood, catch your attention, or even entice someone into buying something.  So how well do you see colour? A company called X-Rite that specializes in the technology and the science of colour – and who also owns the popular colour system Pantone – now offers a very fun and interesting tool to see how well you know, and see, colours.

Take the colour test here:  How Well Do You See Colour?  I thought I had an excellent sense of colour, but I scored a 35 – the lower the score, the better you see colour – so I was a little disappointed in myself to say the least!
